A few weeks ago we exhibited at Les Grands Salons Marions Nous at Place Bonaventure in Montreal, and like always, we met some wonderful couples. We had the opportunity to showcase the latest items we have for favors (bonbonnieres), new books featuring our pre-designed wedding invitations and stationary collections, and of course, the newest addition to our family; Custom invitations and coordinating stationary. It seems every year the trend shifts, and this year it was obvious the trend is custom designed wedding invitations.

More and more brides-to-be are trying to set themselves apart from the hundreds and hundreds of couples who get hitched every year. For many of them, this will most likely be the biggest party they ever throw for themselves. Invitations not only set the tone for your wedding, they also channel your personality, as individuals and as a couple. So it only makes sense that you should want the first hint of your big day to be special. The Goodie Bar not only offers its clients variety, but we promise the end result will be perfect. Multiple color card stocks to choose from, in multiple layers, ribbons in a rainbow of colors, gems, buckles, raised print, digital, letterpress…. What else more could you ask for!? It’s like Christmas for brides!

Not only do you have a labyrinth of choices, but feel free to offer your own designs and see them transferred to paper. There are no maximum number of proofs… we continue until you’re 100% happy, and a printed proof is then supplied so you can see the finished product. Want another bonus? Calligraphy is included in all pricing, so now you don’t have to worry about complex labels or handwriting every invitation you are sending out. Simply supply us with your guest list on excel, and we will print all addressing directly onto the outer envelopes, in matching ink color and font as your invites, so get ready to check that off your to-do list!

Don’t forget to think about matching menus, seating cards (yah of course they’re printed with your guests names!), table numbers, ceremony books, gift tags etc… Give us a shout if you have any questions, or if you want to book an appointment to get started. Salon Marions Nous 2011

This past Saturday & Sunday, January 8th & 9th, was the annual Salon Marions Nous here in Montreal, at Place Bonaventure. What a weekend! We were able to meet some wonderful couples who seemed just as excited to see our products as we were to show them!! Throughout the year we work hard to seek new and innovative vendors to bring to our clients, so it's absolutely wonderful to see how much it's appreciated. Soo... statistics show that a large percentage of couples get engaged over the holidays! Well, the holidays being just around the corner, many lucky women will be running out to load themselves up on the latest wedding magazines, go on endless shopping sprees for dresses, invitations, flowers, photographers, videographers, DJ's, bands, rings, favors....wow....the list goes on! This can all be very overwhelming, so I'm just offering some advise here....RELAX and enjoy the moment.

I remember rushing like a mad woman through all my wedding plans because I just wanted to get it over with. After being engaged for almost a year and half, I was like, bring on the wedding already! Looking back, I really wish I would have taken my time, not that I regret anything about that day, I just wish I would have reveled in the moment a little more instead of trying to speed it up. The thing is that the day goes by soo fast, as everyone says, and it honestly does. The morning starts and just as fast as the day came, it ends. You have a great party (hopefully) and in the morning you wake up next to your husband, and real life starts. You'll probably say, "What, that's it? It's over?" Yup, it is. All that planning and going crazy for months and months...and it almost eludes you. Soo... take your time, enjoy the road to your big day...cause once your wedding day arrives, you'll be overwhelmed by countless things you may just forget to have fun, to dance until your feet hurt, to laugh it off when your husband has put back a few too many... you may forget that everyone in the room is there because they love you and because they want to be there. It's not something you want to just get over with. It's something you want to be perfect and to remember forever.

Soo, brides, just relax and enjoy the ride!
