Soo... statistics show that a large percentage of couples get engaged over the holidays! Well, the holidays being just around the corner, many lucky women will be running out to load themselves up on the latest wedding magazines, go on endless shopping sprees for dresses, invitations, flowers, photographers, videographers, DJ's, bands, rings, favors....wow....the list goes on! This can all be very overwhelming, so I'm just offering some advise here....RELAX and enjoy the moment.
I remember rushing like a mad woman through all my wedding plans because I just wanted to get it over with. After being engaged for almost a year and half, I was like, bring on the wedding already! Looking back, I really wish I would have taken my time, not that I regret anything about that day, I just wish I would have reveled in the moment a little more instead of trying to speed it up. The thing is that the day goes by soo fast, as everyone says, and it honestly does. The morning starts and just as fast as the day came, it ends. You have a great party (hopefully) and in the morning you wake up next to your husband, and real life starts. You'll probably say, "What, that's it? It's over?" Yup, it is. All that planning and going crazy for months and months...and it almost eludes you. Soo... take your time, enjoy the road to your big day...cause once your wedding day arrives, you'll be overwhelmed by countless things you may just forget to have fun, to dance until your feet hurt, to laugh it off when your husband has put back a few too many... you may forget that everyone in the room is there because they love you and because they want to be there. It's not something you want to just get over with. It's something you want to be perfect and to remember forever.
Soo, brides, just relax and enjoy the ride!
